In memoriam: Rusmir Mahmutćehajić

It is our sad duty to inform the members and friends of International Forum Bosnia of the death of our president, Academician Rusmir Mahmutćehajić, in Sarajevo this morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Halida, his daughter Fatima, and the other members of his family, to whom we extend our most heartfelt condolences. The funeral prayer (dženaza) will take place at 16:45, on Tuesday, April 7th, at the Čaršija Mosque in Stolac, followed by interment at the Đetelina cemetery. Prayers for the dead (tevhid) will be offered at the Čaršija Mosque.

Othello, Sarajevo War Theater As the organizer of the 13th Sarajevo UN World Interfaith Harmony Week, IFB, in cooperation with the Sarajevo War Theater, is pleased to offer all participants a chance to attend a performance of Othello, directed by Oksana Dimitrieva and adapted by Nejra Babić, on February 6 (Thursday). Attendance at the performance will serve as a prelude to a public discussion on Otherness in the Contemporary World: Through William Shakespeare's Play Othello (The Moor of Venice).

Žarko Papić's life and work in the defense of social pluralism in Bosnia and Herzegovina As part of the 13th Sarajevo UN World Interfaith Harmony Week, International Forum Bosnia and the International Academy of Sciences and Arts in Bosnia and Herzegovina are jointly hosting a conference to celebrate Žarko Papić's life and work in defense of social pluralism in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The conference will take place on Wednesday February 5, starting at 10:30 a.m., at the IFB offices.
