PROJECT "BOSNIA: RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT" (BOSRED I)

The most important element of the work of IFB is the BOSRED project, a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary project conceived as a long-term involvement in the principal issues of the society and state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its purpose is to establish a dynamic relationship between research-based assessments of the condition and needs of the society of Bosnia and Herzegovina and optimal measures and projects for an effective transition to a politically, culturally and economically sustainable society, compatible with European trends. IFB is the organizational framework for the implementation and development of the BOSRED project.

Each year IFB publishes mid-term and year-end invitations to submit research topics. At the same time as the call for topics, it also publishes and invites bids for the allocation of financial support to students for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral studies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The implementation of the BOSRED project began in 1998. Applications for financial support for 106 topics were received, of which thirty were selected. The BOSRED community of researchers thus now numbers more than 300 scholars. The BOSRED project seeks to advance and foster its original innovative, focused quality, its youth, independence, openness, dependability and enterprising spirit.
